VSI II made its first investment by acquiring 50% of SAÚDE VIÁVEL GROUP, leading a co-investment with HERMES

Vallis Sustainable Investments II informs that it has completed its first investment with the acquisition of 50% of the share capital of Saúde Viável Group, leading a co-investment with the British Private Equity, Hermes GPE.

Saúde Viável is the largest clinical Group exclusively dedicated to the Diagnosis, Treatment and Research in Health and Hair Transplantation, with facilities in Lisbon, Porto, Vilamoura and Madrid

In the last five years, Saúde Viável grew at an average annual rate above 50%, reaching a turnover close to 17 million Euros in 2018, having performed over 30,000 hair transplants since its inception and conquered the confidence of its patients.

Founded in 2009, the Group has more than 200 employees, including Doctors, Nurses, Clinical Advisers and Researchers, with an Academy for the specific and advanced training of its professionals.

Saúde Viável has a Research Department in Robotics and Cellular Therapies in collaboration with I3S – Institute of Research and Innovation in Health of the University of Porto, through which research is carried out on Stem Cells of follicular units aiming scientific advances in the treatment for the resolution of baldness.

Saúde Viável, in partnership with one of the greatest icons in world sport, synonymous with effort, dedication and dynamism – Cristiano Ronaldo – started its international expansion in March 2019, having opened its first clinic in Madrid, with the brand Insparya, which has already conquered the market leadership in the number of hair transplants performed in this period. Cristiano Ronaldo’s personal interest in the health area, as well as the recognition of the quality of the clinical project, were at the origin of this partnership with Saúde Viável.

With this partnership between Vallis Sustainable Investments II Fund, HERMES GPE and its Founder and CEO, Paulo Ramos, who will keep 50% of the share capital, Saúde Viável Group will pursue an international expansion strategy based on the opening of clinics in the main European cities, designed to achieve world leadership in the sector, always focusing on the high quality of clinical service provided to each patient.
