Vallis Sustainable Investments I informs on the acquisition of a 50% stake in the share capital of Raclac, S.A.
Raclac is a Portuguese firm specialized in the conception, manufacture and commercialization of disposable products, namely gloves and other general disposables for use in the areas of health, industry and aesthetic.
Having started operations in 2009, Raclac has quickly become one of the leading companies in Portugal operating in the disposable medical devices sector. In the past two years, the Company has grown at an average annual rate of 50%, reaching a Turnover close to 7 million Euros in 2015. Owner of RUBBERGOLD brand, Raclac is recognized in the market by its superior technical capacity and innovation in the development of its products, providing the clients top quality products and services which meet the most exacting demands.
Being certified according to the highest international standards for the design, development and commercialization of disposable products for medical and industrial areas, Raclac is since 2016 one of the companies selected to supply sterile products for the Portuguese public hospital sector.
In partnership with Vallis Sustainable Investments I, the Raclac founding shareholders will keep a 50% stake in the share capital of Raclac and remain in the leadership of the Executive Management Team, with the ambition to pursue an organic growth strategy based on the consolidation of its competitive advantages in the domestic market and the exploitation of existing growth opportunities, either through the introduction of new products and a more incisive approach to international markets, following opportunistic criteria.
In accordance to the European Law this transaction is subject to the Portuguese Antitrust Authority ruling.
